Méribel - Les Allues (1150m)
The great thing about Les Allues
is that it is a real, thriving community, where the local people live, unlike most
soulless purpose built-resorts. It has a good commercial centre with the Valley's
Town Hall, beautiful Church and small Chapel, library, ski / sports shop,
supermarket and tabac / souvenir shop. For après ski and the evening there is
plenty of choice with 5 excellent and renowned restaurants with bars. Les Allues
offers a real alternative to the main resort of Méribel Town, for those seeking a
less frenetic holiday location. The Olypmé gondola and free ski bus link you to
The Three Valleys vast lift network. In the summer Les Allues is glorious. You
will be surrounded with mountains full of wild flowers. Walks and mountain bike
trails lead right from the chalet door.

Méribel Village (1400m)
 
Méribel Village has a real village
atmosphere and a traditional centre, but just 2 kms from the bustle of Meribel
town. The village centre is just a 3-4 minute walk from Chalet Diapason and has a
well stocked supermarket, a delicious boulangerie, ski and sports shop. There are
two restaurants and a lively bar.
The chairlift gives you quick access to the
Altiport ski area and the Méribel and Courcheval skiing, linking you to the whole
of The Three Valleys. Méribel village transforms in summer with flowers
everywhere and temperatures ranging from 22oC - 32oC. From
the apartment terrace you have views of the surrounding mountain peaks. You can
book an English run crèche or arrange for qualified in-apartment nannies.
